At the age of 22, I was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma. Ten months in the hospital and 14 cycles of chemotherapy changed my life. During that time, I made myself a promise: if I made it through, I wanted to give something back.

That is why I cycled 8,000 kilometers from Berlin to the Taj Mahal in India. I wanted to encourage young people with cancer and show them that their dreams still matter. Even after a serious illness, life can once again be full of possibilities. Through my journey, I raised awareness and donations for young people affected by the disease—and I rode for those who could not make the journey themselves.

As an ambassador for the CCF Children Cancer Foundation, I want to help ensure that these young people are seen and supported.

After my return, Stuttgart-based filmmaker Sebastian Georgi from Bildmanufaktur accompanied and interviewed me. His moving film tells the story of my journey and what drives me. Together with the CCF, I sincerely thank him for bringing my story—and our cause—to the public eye.
